Stefan Dercon (University of Oxford - Blavatnik School of Government)

Stefan Dercon is Professor of Economic Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government and the Economics Department, and a Fellow of Jesus College. He is also Director of the Centre for the Study of African Economies. 

Stefan combines his academic career with work as a policy advisor. Between 2011 and 2017, he was Chief Economist of the Department of International Development (DFID). His research interests concern what keeps some people and countries poor: the failures of markets, governments and politics, mainly in Africa, and how to achieve change.

Hélène Rey (London Business School)

Hélène Rey is Lord Bagri Professor of Economics, at the London Business School, member of the Haut Conseil de Stabilité Financière and Vice President CEPR in charge of CEPR Women in Economics.

Helène's research focuses on international macroeconomics and finance with special emphasis on financial stability, international capital flows, exchange rates and the international monetary system.

Reinhilde Veugelers (KU Leuven - Bruegel)

  Prof Dr. Reinhilde Veugelers is a full professor at KULeuven (BE) at the Department of Management, Strategy and Innovation.  She has been a Senior fellow at Bruegel since 2009.  She is also a CEPR Research Fellow, a member of the Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Sciences and of the Academia Europeana. 

Reinhilde's research is concentrated in the fields of industrial organisation, international economics and strategy, innovation and science
